Antique Karachov Kazak – Central Caucasus. 19th Century cm 250x 200 This Kaza has been photographed exclusively in natural light to provide a chromatic perception as close to reality as possible, highlighting the vividness of the vegetable dyes. Regarding its preservation, the rug is in excellent condition: The ends feature the original braided/interwoven weaving, which has been professionally secured to ensure long-term integrity. There are some areas of corrosion in the brown/black tones (due to the natural iron-gall oxidation typical of ancient dyes), particularly in the medacyl and certain decorative outlines. This phenomenon is a hallmark of authenticity and age, lending the rug a unique sculptural charm. Minor, expert conservative restoration work has been performed. Other images on request
