Old Indian Zanskar Himalayan Coat. Beautiful old handwoven wool (yak?) coat from the Zanskar region in the Indian Himalayas near the Tibetan border. Approx. 49 inches across from sleeve tip to sleeve tip, 41 inches tall from collar to hem. 81 inches from side to side when fanned out. Tie-dyed panels of dark blue, dark yellow. Heavy and substantial for the harsh Himalayan winters. a rare and hard to find old textile from a little-visited area of the world.
