Japanese "Furushiki" cotton cloth, which was folded and tied for carrying small objects. Made from three strips of cloth hand stitched together. a "kamon" stylised flower family crest was drawn in rice paste in one corner and some calligraphic letters were drawn in the other and the cloth was overdyed in blue and yellow to achieve a pleasant dark green colour, very good condition, from about 1900-20, 113x96cms.
