Afshar chanteh, circa 1900, 10" x 15" Small repair on the face and hole on the back, otherwise in excellent condition. Nice range of colors and lustrous, soft wool. The meandering vine-like border in ivory creates a frame for a deep blue field that seems to recede and project the central design elements, a sweet example of Afshar weaving.
