An antique Khamseh rug featuring three large medallions arranged horizontally, extending almost to the rug’s borders. The deep navy-blue field is richly decorated with birds, botehs, S-shaped motifs, and delicate vegetal elements.
The large birds woven into the main field are particularly striking. At the upper left and right of the top medallion, two charming little birds with triangular bodies and distinctive double heads have been beautifully woven into the design.
The half-medallions positioned along the borders are equally intriguing, with tiny flowers filling their interiors and creating a delicate, densely patterned effect.
The pile is medium to low, while the overall structure is sound and free from significant issues.
