Interesting minimal Incan period bag with separately woven pendant fringe. a.d. 1470 - a.d. 1532. Native repair made in ancient times. Blue cotton bag with alpaca fiber pendant, tassels and side finish. Bags of this type are usually attributed to Incan officials. The lack of patterning in the blue cotton portion of the bag is not typical and may indicate a more modest type of owner or perhaps the bag was of provincial origin. Nonetheless, it is charming in it's own rite. Size: 9 x 20 inches including fringe.
