Antique Turkish Bergama rug of small square size, the rug has an interesting all over diamond lattice design. Size: 3ft 5in x 3ft 3in (103 x 100cm). Circa 1900. The rug has a fine lattice design on a warm caramel coloured ground, each diamond could be seen as a small flowering shrub. The white ground border is of a classic Bergama design; these small rugs are often considered to dowry weavings or having a connection to weddings. The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and medium pile. The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. Stock Number: h-569.
