Antique north-west Persian Karaja / Heriz region rug of small size with superb colour.
Size: 5ft 7in x 2ft 11in (169 x 89cm).
Circa 1900.
This is an outstanding small rug with soft pastel colours, including a very delicate soft indigo blue. The design is of twin medallions each containing a floral bloom. The border is of a classic design for the region.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and full pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic floor use, an outstanding furnishing rug.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
