Antique north-west Persian Karaja / Heriz region rug of small size with superb colour. Size: 5ft 7in x 2ft 11in (169 x 89cm). Circa 1900. This is an outstanding small rug with soft pastel colours, including a very delicate soft indigo blue. The design is of twin medallions each containing a floral bloom. The border is of a classic design for the region. The rug is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and full pile.
