Antique Jaf Kurd bag with single diamond lattice design, good clear colours and an attractive plain weave back with unusual design.
Size: 2ft 2in x 1ft 11in (65 x 59cm).
Circa 1900.
The bag is well drawn with a single diamond medallion lattice and another half diamond emerging. The bag retains the closing lappets at the top is complete with its original flatwoven back which is in a striking design.
The bag is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and thick meaty pile, the wool is very soft and the bag has a floppy handle.
The bag is an outstanding example of type and is ready for display.
