Dating to the last quarter of the 19th century, this unusual saddle bag was probably woven by an Ersari weaver in or around Beshir in the Middle Amu Darya region. Finely worked with an asymmetric knot open to the right, it has very soft wool and exceptional natural dyes. The dimensions are 45cm x 55cm.
