An Exceptional Thigma Tie & Dye Costume (Coat)
from the women of Zanskar, Ladakh. India.
This rare example is crafted from handwoven yak wool, featuring a deep natural indigo blue alongside other organic dyes. The intricate resist-dye technique, locally known as Thigma, creates striking geometric patterns unique to the Himalayan region.
