An outstanding Antique Turkoman / Turkmen Ersari tribe silk embroidered bag pouch dating to 19th century. Out of most central Asian silk bags, the Ersari types are some of the finest and visually interesting. The example is as good as it gets. The colours are phenomenal all primary and derived from natural dyes. We have lush red, blue, green, yellow and white all fighting to bring out the design. The quad rams horn motif compartmented in alternate colours is relatively rare design to see in such bags and is visually dazzling. The stitching of the silks is extremely fine and both sides are fully embroidered. It is a brilliant example of its type and would add nicely to any top tier collection. In very good shape. size: 19cm x 15cm (7.5"x 6")…. ….
