This circa 1935 vintage Peking Chinese Oriental Rug measures 8’5” x 9’9”. It has a medium blue field with a sculptured design and beautiful multi colored flowers coming from a garden planner in the center of each side of the rug. The flowers are done in peach, purple, yellow, green and pale rose and come out of the border and into the field. The border is done in ivory with brown and rose-colored bats which in China symbolize good luck, separated by a blue cloud motif. The center of the rug contains a sculptured Chinese rondelle. The main border is 6 inches wide in a medium dark blue. The rug is full pile. It is clean and ready to go. It is essentially in perfect condition.
