Qashqai knotted Khorjin/Saddle bag.
Fars region, Southern Persia.
Size is cm 50x100 ca.
Age is difficult to unveil, but it could be early 20th century or later.
Great tight weaving pile work.
Silky wool, every part is original, sides, ends, closures.....
Pattern with the nomads ceiling: stars in the sky!
Colors are deep, fully pixed. There is some color running on the back, but we know that some colors, especially the red, can run even if natural.
Pattern on the back is what we would say "low profile", actually gabbeh like.
Complete and in very good condition, probably unused, no wear to spot anywhere.
Imho it could have been a wedding present.
Frankly I'm surprised to have it found complete while dealers use to separate the bags and sell them separately.
