Antique Uzbek Lakai tribal ceremonial horse / saddle cover.
Circa 1920.
This beautiful embroidered horse / saddle cover was made by the Lakai tribe of Uzbekistan, it was used on special occasions such as weddings. The soft powder blue field is covered in silk embroidery with classic Lakai designs.
The cover is in outstanding condition with very little wear, the cotton lining was replaced in Kabul in 2006.
