Old beluc ..
The history and origin of Baloch carpets stem from the nomadic Baloch tribes living in the regions where Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran intersect. These carpets take their name from these tribes. The Baloch people have lived a nomadic life for centuries, and carpets have become an integral part of their lifestyle.
As a requirement of their nomadic lifestyle, Baloch carpets are generally woven in small sizes for easy portability. These carpets were also used as prayer rugs. Each carpet bears symbols and patterns that reflect the weaver's cultural heritage and life experiences. Therefore, Baloch carpets are not merely objects; they also tell stories that tell the rich history and art of this people.
