Ersari Turkmen, knotted circa 1875 antique, collectors item, 220 x 293 cm, id: MMM-60
The knots, the warp and the weft threads are mixed with hand spun lamb wool (silky wool) and goat hair. The selvages are woven on three lines with goat hair, both edges are woven with 8 to 20 cm colored kilim, vegetable dyes, the background and the surrounded large border are brick, allover geometric design, at the border a tiny hole 3x4 cm to be repaired, very hick pile, in good condition, in its original shape, soft as an handkerchief, very rare example.
