Central anatolia , Sivas (Gürün) Armenian textiles in the Gürün district of Sivas are particularly known for their shawl weaving. According to information i have obtained, there were Armenian weavers in Gürün who practiced this craft. For example, masters like Manuel Afaryan, who settled in Damascus, Syria, after World War i, contributed to the recognition of the Gürün shawl. These textiles were among the important handicrafts that reflected the cultural richness of the region.
