Shahsavan antique rug from Mogan Savalan area in Northern Caucasus. Size is cm 115x240. Datable 1840/1860, one of the oldest rugs from this area. The pattern has got 16 Memling guls in two rows and 8 half such medallions in vertical row. Colors are all natural and deeply saturated. They are really many and extremely beautiful. In very good condition. In the past it had some very minor restorations. Obviously not cheap, but, those who know, will understand and enjoy it. Museum quality.
