Size: 11ft 3in x 4ft 8in (343 x 143cm).
Antique Uzbek flat weave kilim with embroidered design, these are known as 'suzani kilim'.
Circa 1900-20.
This interesting kilim is woven as a single panel to the field, the repeat lattice design is then embroidered on to it. The borders are made as separate strips which are then stitched to the main field panel.
A beautiful kilim that would make an outstanding wall hanging or could be used on the floor in a low traffic area.
The kilim is in excellent condition with a few signs signs of use, the stitching joining the border panels is weak in a few areas.
