Antique Uzbek Tartari saddlebag face with banded weft work design.
Circa 1900.
This saddlebag face is an good example of Uzbek Tartari weaving, the traditional design is woven in bands of weft work with flat weave kilim at both ends. The foundation is goats hair. There is a good range of colours including madder red, blues, blue green, yellow and ivory.
The bag face is in excellent condition with very slight wear.
