Soumak Caucasian, woven circa 1905 antique, collectors item, 103 x 129 cm, id: CBU-1
Part of mafrash (cradle)joined at the center, rare design, vegetable dyes, the red color is extracted from the cochineal, the white color is cotton, in perfect condition, hand spun wool, finely woven, the shirazi borders are rolled on one line with goat hair.
Almost a similar example was published in the catalogue of "Shahsavan mafrash & khorjin", by Meglioranzi & Zoccatelli, printed 1986 Verona, ill. 13.
