Clearly, it was a cherished piece, both for the weaver and its subsequent owners, as it has remained in pristine condition, including the delicate and intricate fringes, up until today. The weaver, a highly skilled artist, employed undyed natural white wool for the background and naturally dyed wool for the motifs. The pattern is crafted with finely spun wool, and every detail has been carefully considered. Notably, the weaver included protective “s” motifs throughout the weaving. While the piece is in remarkable condition, it does show a few minor stains.
