While many saddlebags typically showcase a predominantly red palette, this khorjin stands out with a striking deep indigo blue dominating its four spandrels. a particularly intriguing detail is the tiny outer border, filled with small squares that echo patterns found in antique Gabbeh rugs. The reverse of the saddlebag features a design woven with horizontal motifs using the complementary weft weave technique. Throughout the entire piece, natural dyes create rich colours with the extensive use of that deep indigo blue notable on both the front and back.
