This early to mid 19th century Zeyhore Kuba #8229 antique Oriental Rug measures 3’5” x 5’0”. It has a dark blue field covered in what i believe to be are tulips in red, 3 shades of green, ivory, and a pink that’s often found in Khotan. The field is beautifully drawn and very different. Apart from the flowers there are ivory diamonds scattered throughout the field which are not done in a symmetric way but wherever the artist cared to put them. There are also geometric figures, some of which are connected and some not, tossed around the field like flower petals on a table top. The interior border has multi colored flower heads in 2 shades of green, 2 shades of red, pink, and blue on a red ground. Every minor border is different. The outer border is running dog in blue on an ivory ground. In between each of the running dogs is a different colored flower. The more i look at this rug the better and more unique it looks to me and every second i look at it the price is going up. This rug is essentially in full pile condition.
