caucasian lenkoran gallery rug c. 19th cent--approx 4.6 x 9.6--Similar to Kazak but woven further east along the Caspian with dark weft and so-called Tosbaga (turtle) motifs-- Black oxidation mostly on far end as shown. Original sides with attrition. Washed by Bob Mann who performed perfunctory stabilization of small cut. Otherwise rug is plush, solid and unrestored.
