Impressive Tibetan khaden featuring multiple Khotanesque-like flower heads spread evenly throughout a deep indigo blue abrashed center field. All the dyes are natural, rich and saturated, the warp is cotton, while the weft and pile are of hand-spun wool and the size is 176cm x 86xcm (approximately 69in x 34in). It was made in the early 1900’s and the pile is good throughout (what may look like excessive wear in the dark blue of the main field is overwhelmingly abrash throughout the indigo blue dye used*). Overall it is in excellent condition with no repairs or reweaves and of a design not often seen in Tibetan carpets. *For more photos and info please see https://warpandweft.club/portfolio-item/khaden-21/ or for more Tibetan khaden's please see https://warpandweft.club/portfolio-item/khadens/
