a fine Antique Uzbek Suzani / Susani dating to mid 19th Century from Bukhara / Bokhara. It is a large piece. The embroidery is remarkably fine flat/Basta stitch and chain-stitched silk on a fine linen ground. The natural colours are outstanding. The free flowing field design with floral repertoire has a lovely motion to it. The repeating disc floral motifs on the borders are beautifully drawn with intricate detail and shrubs and fines. The condition is acceptable considering its age. It has natural age patina, some abrasion of embroidery and top right part slightly lighter colour and reattached. But when you look at it in real life it doesn’t distract from the beauty. The work is gorgeous. .a really top piece offered at a very reasonable price. Email me your questions. Size: 215 x 140cm (84" x 55”). For inquiries please email directly to: istalificollections@outlook.com.
