Eastern Anatolian carpet fragment, 89 x 104cm, most likely dating to the first half of the 16th century, c-14 dated to 1486-1647 ( 2-sigma). Condition: overall even wear. a more extensive arthistorical analysis is available on rquest. The carpet has strong ground -field reversal. i believe the primary image is of flower head rosette on a brown field, however the "field" can be seen as diamonds within boxes with lines radiating from the vertexes of the diamond to the corners and sides of the squares.
