Black (wool) and red (silk) bands with multicolor silk embroidery on the upper end. a strikingly visual shawl composed of alternating rows of horizontal stripes in undyed dark wool and insect dyed red silk. The differing widths of each stripe imparts this textile with a very contemporary look. Shawls of this type are extremely rare and were possibly woven as part of the dowry. The Ajar is a type of shawl used by girls in the Jebeniana area. Generally red (rarely red and black) it has transverse bands decorated with the classic motifs at the ends.
