Fine weave, larger pieces, and broad palette without fade. i feel this is an 1850's shawl and is in extraordinarily excellent condition. The center is sound and original. The drawing has a strong French influence, yet the shawl still retains a link to the quality of the Sikh period. Soft, firm, drapey hand. There are 3 tiny, bb size holes and a few areas of decay of the black used in the gates, no loss to the embroidery. Illustrated in the photos. 79"x75". More photos if needed.
