a very rare bag face finely woven in the sumakh technique, originally part of a khorjin. In the midnight blue field, a white cartouche is surrounded by four red octagons and two red trees. Four-legged animals and pairs of birds are arranged next to the central motif. This four-and-one medallion design was part of the traditional Moghan Shahsavan design repertoire. Always very similar in field composition, the surviving examples primarily differ in the design of their borders whose ornamentation was specific to particular sub-groups or tribal clans.
