Central Asian (Kyrgyz?) fragment, 19th century, 126x135 cm. (professionally mounted) This fragment corresponds to the upper half of the entire rug. The main motif is composed by parallel rows of trees (or open wings?) with ram horns (kotchak) on top of each one. Small octagons in various colours and filled with a complex geometric pattern are placed between each row of trees. The narrow border has small polichrome heart-rosettes on a reddish-brown background.
