rare antique Uzbek rug with ikat design purchased in Afghanistan in the 1970 s. Unusually this rug has all natural dyes the browns are undyed wool. Edged with Russian or Uzbek brocade i don’t think it’s ever been cleaned a real tribal rarity the earliest rendition of this rare ikat design i have seen. Size 166 x 109 cm
