This is a unique Shahsavan bagface woven during the 2nd half of the 19th century circa 1870's. It was woven on an all wool foundation and has an extremely fine weave that is found in the best Shahsavan bags that are woven in the Moghan-Savalan area of Northwest Persia. This example also has highly saturated all natural color dyes. The design of this bag is unique and breaks away from the mainstream bags where there are many examples or variants of the same design. This is a true collectors piece with great dyes, a unique design, and in good condition. It has just been precessional cleaned by the famous Robert Mann insuring that all of its colors have been brought back to life and is ready to be enjoy and added to any tribal collection.
