Antique little Turkish village prayer rug, possibly bergama, with some interesting design features and older colors but very rough condition. Appears both madder and cochineal reds used. Attractive ivory “leaf” border. Overall low pile with heavy wear and obvious damage, a long tear along the field edge. Edges rough with loss. All natural colors. As found, dirty and in need of a careful wash. Good age, ca. 1875. 3’ x 3’5”
