This apparently is a gallery stamp. A very strong, large calligraphic woodblock print by the Japanese artist Haku Maki, who often used Chinese kanji characters as inspiration for his work, likely the case with this intriguing image. The mulberry paper has fibers on the surface that reflect the light, giving the inked surface an unusual scintillating quality. a copy can be seen in the Brooklyn Museum.
