Antique small Caucasian rug in good condition with a dramatic design and attractive colors featuring a lovely yellow main border. The easily recognized karagashli type motifs and numerous animals float on a lovely blue/green ground. Let’s not forget the “ghost”. Not every rug has one. Overall even very low pile with some wear and browns heavily oxidized. Original selvages. Reasonably clean. Good age, ca. 1875 or earlier. 3’3” x 5’ 3”
