1850-1870 Turkoman Yomut rug; rectangular central field with rows of Kapsa gols, field framed by three borders with main one decorated with syrga design, minor borders displaying the saldat motif; end elem panels decorated with variations of khamtoz design. Natural dyes, eight colours; dark brown, violet brown, bright red, orange,dark blue, sky blue, green and ivory. The rug has a few repairs, frayed ends some tears and patches, not in great condition but in one piece! Size 118 x 206 cm; 3.10 ft x 6.9 ft.
