          Sistan Balouch balisht 21" x 32" (53cm x 81cm) in
good condition with long shiny wool. The back has
been replaced with a rough plain wool flat weave
and the sides have been re wrapped with goat hair.
The base color is a dark navy blue, along with a
lighter blue green and even a lovely light powder
blue. Next is a very strong red, which doesn't look
to be a stable color and a lighter salmon color that
does seem stable may be the later batch of wool dyed
in the strong red dye. Then a deep burgundy and a
burgundy that is corrosive and again a lighter shade
which again could from the secondary dye bath, which
does not always produce as deep a shade of the color.
Finally a white and a natural brown.
The original five cord selvedge can be seen in a close
up of the side left part way open so that this could
be re stuffed for use as a colorful pillow.
