Woven in sumak technique, this Shasevan salt bag from the south Caucasus draws a highly graphic field of alternating and contrasting ivory and deep indigo diagonal stripes. Simple and colorful geometric flourishes trace each stripe; they are joined in the middle of the right side by a solitary horned animal.
