an around 300 years old ningxia mat which is not only worn.. it is also one of the best execution of this design group on a white ground which is not very common. very beautiful and precise drawing of the lotus flower at the center incorporating the meaning of the double vajra. obviously originally an object made for some one or a place of importance in the buddhist context, so the white color was surely not unintentional. yes worn but still with a great somewhat majestic presence and not expensive..
