with its 100cm wide, this is a quite large warp-faced-back meditation mat. the design is not like other pieces with medalion design if one look carrefuly. the gul is slightly flatened and i don t know of other pieces with the integration of the concentric squares within this sort of design, please see the horizontal axis of the gul. it has well saturated colours and the single "greek-key!!" border is drawn in a way remembering of those found in early tibetan books. originally part of a pair, but the other one is already serving in a well-known collection. not after 1850, obviously..
