Whatever the origin, it is tightly knotted. so much so that warp and weft is distorted at one end. The weaver clearly was putting a lot of effort into this piece. Some dye run-over from the black cloth onto the back of the decorative knotted portion. Colors are dense and bright. Likely all synthetic. a ver interesting ethnographic selection
