Silky, shiny, soft wool, a full pile and a floppy handle are the tactile characteristics of this big dark beauty (Arabic Laberduni). Dyes are saturated and all natural. There are all kinds of symbols including two-headed mystic rain birds, goats, chickens, protective 's's and plants. This is one of a set of three carpets that we have that were probably woven by the same weaver or family of weavers and which together with the Eaj carpet already posted were bought from a wealthy household in southern Iran. These carpets were normally placed side by side in twos or in a group of four. 295x212cms
