This Ningxia mat is a great example of late 18th-early 19th century Ningxia Chinese rug weaving. The central Yin Yang Fu Lion image is surrounded by peach and chrysanthemum blossoms and the perimeter is interspersed with designs of the eight treasures of Taoism. The pile is lush, and the color and drawing are excellent. The piece has been mounted along the perimeter. There is some loss of pile along the bottom edge.Dimensions are 24" x 27". sold
