The book, From the Land of the Thunder Dragon says these fabrics are "a time honored gift for many Bhutanese occasions," such as promotions, marriages, and deaths, "when textile gifts (zong or zongcha) are given in an odd-numbered set of three, five, seven, nine, or more." 84 x 47 inches. The damage is apparent -- holes and frayed edges -- but it's still quite lovely and has a nice handle.
