19th c. Uzbek Ikat Chapan Polished silk heavy outerwear ikat coat. Body three colors of red, white, and yellow. Front and sleeve opening edged with hooked buta hand embroidery using colors of leaf green, orange, yellow, black, and white. Some embroidered needlework at back of neck and underarm gusset area towards front and back. Lined with natural color coarse hand woven cotton. Leaf green ¼” edging on sleeve, coat body edges, and front opening. Size: Large with long sleeves. Condition: Some wear on sleeves and separation overall. Basically intact. Central Asia, Uzbekistan
