This is probably a remainder that has never been used and has been stored in a dark place for centuries- the colouring still strong and fresh as if made yesterday. Dim.: HxW 129 x 31 cm. Mounted on blue cotton on foam board (136x37cm). A robe with similar compostion and colours is in collection of the Cleveland museum of Art and has been published in John Vollmer, Silks for Thrones and Altars - the Myrna Myers Collection.
