Mahal Carpet 10.6 x 13.1 3.23 x 3.99 The open rust field sets off a tall floral wreath and, in turn, is surrounded by a matching larger oval wreath. This is set into a European style pale sand panel with giant quatrefoil corners. The pale powder blue border links wheel rosettes with circles enclosing semi-realistic flowers. The palette is light and there is overall wear resulting in corduroy ribbing throughout. Better to see it than to describe it. Circa: 1940 (c68051)
